Vladislav Hrežo is a part-time PhD. student at the at the Institute of British and American Studies at the University of Presov in Slovakia. In his dissertation thesis he focuses on the manifestations of Eurolect in the translation of English-Slovak EU institutional-legal texts. His research is supervised by the second author of the study. He has published on linguistic aspects of institutional-legal documents while focusing on phraselogy, semantics, verb morphology and morpho-syntactic patterns and their variations.

Klaudia Bednarova-Gibova is an Associate Professor of translation studies at the Institute of British and American Studies at the University of Presov in Slovakia. She has published extensively on institutional translation and aspects of text-oriented analysis in (non-)literary translation. More recently, she has extended her research interests to the sociology of translation and psycho-translation studies with a special focus on translators as a social-professional group in the Slovak language industry and affectivity of translator behaviour. With many years of translation and proofreading experience, she is also a professional translator and transcreationist of mostly specialized texts working from/into English and German. She is also a member of the European Society for Translation Studies (EST) and International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies (IATIS).
