Anamaria Lupan defended her thesis in 2020, The essays of Marguerite Yourcenar: between cultural criticism and freedom of expression, under the joint supervision of Rodica POP and Rémy POIGNAULT. She is now an assistant professor at the Faculty of Letters at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. She is interested in Yourcenarian work, literary theory and the theory of foreign language learning; she has published numerous studies on the essays of Marguerite Yourcenar, in the Bulletin of the International Society of Yourcenarian Studies and in other publications. In addition, Anamaria Lupan, winner of the Francophonie Prize for Young Researchers (2023, Quebec, Canada, AUF), is interested in F/Francophonie and its influence in Romanian society.
