Annales UMCS sectio N Educatio Nova publishes research papers presenting findings that can be implemented at different educational levels.The journal brings together various strains of research in the humanities, mainly literature and linguistics as well as culture and religion, and in the social sciences, including pedagogy, psychology, social communication and media. The annual volumes of our journal cover multidisciplinary approaches to education. Each volume offers Polish and international scholars a forum for sharing ideas and facilitating professional cooperation. Contributions from scholars who begin their career in Academia are also encouraged.

We invite submissions of manuscripts for Issue 12 of Educatio Nova

 

We would like this issue to focus on the theme:

Boundaries of co-existence – freedom, justice, law, hate, and violence in the public sphere

Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

  • language as a tool of aggression;
  • how language shapes our perception of justice;
  • the authority of the teacher in the age of post-truth and an aggressive public debate;
  • the teacher – a neutral moderator or active defender of values;
  • boundaries between security and enslavement;
  • new forms of aggression online;
  • otherness and normativity: gender, race, post-coloniality, minorities;
  • literary representations of law and justice;
  • literary testimonies of enslavement;
  • symbolic violence in culture;
  • the rhetoric of guilt and punishment;
  • hate speech and the challenges that technology poses for the administration of justice;
  • legal language and literary language: tensions, intersections, subversions;
  • the court trial in literary narrative;
  • literature, memory, and justice in the face of historical violence;
  • the ethics of writing and the responsibility for judgment;
  • the legal text as an object of analysis.

We also welcome submissions to the “Varia” section that are not directly related to the theme of the issue but align with the aims and scope of our journal.

Manuscripts will be accepted until 31 December 2026.
