Uncertainty and Risks as Categories of Analysis of the International Environment In the Arctic Region

Abstract

The article considers the importance of examining uncertainty and risk as important factors influencing the functioning of the contemporary international system. Building on an analysis of international developments taking place in the Arctic region at the beginning of the 21st century, the article examines the impact of uncertainty on Arctic affairs stemming from the climate change and how international cooperation in the region is becoming more and more oriented towards risk
