Dmitry Redin – doctor of History (2007), vice-director for Research at the Institute of History and Archaeology of Ural Branch of Russian Academy of Science (since 2013), head of the department of Russian History at the Ural Federal University (since 2007). Dmitry Redin is the section editor for historical studies at Quaestio Rossica research journal (Russia), member of Editorial Committee of Cahiers du Monde Russe research journal (France), Editorial Board of Uralsky Istorichesky Vestnik research journal (Ekaterinburg) and the international almanac ‘Menschikov Readings’ (Saint-Petersburg). He published more than 140 research papers. He is the author of the monograph Administrative Structures and Bureaucracy of Urals in the Age of Petrine Reforms (Ekaterinburg 2007). His research interests include social and political history, the history of state administration in Russia of 17–18th centuries, source studies.
