Krzysztof Królczyk is professor of ancient history at the Faculty of History of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. His research interests include the history of the early Roman Empire, especially the border provinces of the Empire, veteran settlements, Roman foreign policy, Latin epigraphy and the history of Polish research on antiquity. He is the author of several books, e.g. Propagatio Imperii. Cesarstwo Rzymskie a świat zewnętrzny w okresie rządów Septymiusza Sewera (2Oświęcim 2016); Veteranen in den Donauprovinzen des Römischen Reiches (Poznań 2009) and Tituli veteranorum.Inskrypcje weteranów z prowincji naddunajskich Cesarstwa Rzymskiego (Poznań 2005), as well as numerous articles and reviews.
