Retired professor of English literature at Warmia and Mazury University in Olsztyn. The field of research comprises English literature at the turn of the 19th century, especially the detective fiction and the horror fiction. Has published articles on the ghost stories Montague Rhodes James, Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, Algernon Blackwood and William Home Hodgson as well as on the novels by Arthur Machen and Bram Stoker.
