Doctor Paweł Kłos is an assistant professor in the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) and the head of the Academic Mediation Centre at UMCS. His work encompasses research and teaching, and, he is the author of numerous scientific publications. Founding member of the Central & Eastern Europe Mediation Research Group.

Fields of Interest:

• Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): Practical and theoretical approaches.
• University-related Disputes: Academic mediation, focusing on disputes in higher education institutions.
• Intelligent Decision Support Systems (AI): Application in contemporary legal orders.
• Decision Analysis: Interdisciplinary approaches incorporating law, psychology, linguistics, sociology, philosophy, and neuroscience.
• Logic in Legal Science: Practical application of logic in legal reasoning.
• Social Reality Modelling: Using linguistic and functional frameworks to analyze social dynamics.

His work aims to bridge academic knowledge with practical applications, particularly in the application of law and ADR, fostering interdisciplinary approaches to legal and social challenges. Throughout my career, I have conducted numerous training sessions, workshops, and classes, as well as co-created and participated in various projects.

Research Trips:

• Visiting Assistant Professor (April 2024): A research trip to the Institute of Comparative Law at Chuo University, Tokyo, Japan, exploring the opportunities and societal challenges of using generative artificial intelligence in science, work, and legal education.
• COST Action CA 20123 IGCOORD Short-Term Scientific Mission (May 2023): Focused on migration disputes and new challenges for local communities, with an emphasis on the use of ADR. Hosted by the Department of Administrative Law, Faculty of Law, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest.

Notable Projects:
